David Shiver, MCP, MBA | Principal
David’s over 30 years of experience in land acquisition, development planning, leasing, negotiations, operations, and public benefits programs all enhance BAE's “hands-on” approach to real estate economics, economic development strategies, development advisory services, and public-private partnerships.
He has played a key consulting role in the planning and implementation of the high-profile Presidio of San Francisco, NASA Research Park in Mountain View, California, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and Fort Monroe in Hampton Virginia. His work has established BAE as a national leader in structuring and negotiating business terms for complex public-private partnerships and mission-driven real estate programs.
David operates from BAE’s San Francisco Bay Area office as a Principal-in-Charge for the firm’s work in support of public-private partnerships, economic development strategies, general plans, comprehensive plans, specific plans, precise plans, master plans, and associated community benefit programs. He is a full member of the Urban Land Institute and American Planning Association and is a frequent speaker on planning, real estate, and public-private partnership topics.
David received a BA in Public Affairs from the University of Chicago, and an MCP and MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
