Danielle Contorer | Associate
Danielle Contorer is an Associate at BAE's Washington, DC office, bringing a strong background in urban planning, economic development, and real estate.
Danielle's experience includes work at the NoMa Business Improvement District (BID) in Washington, DC, where she played a key role in placemaking initiatives. She contributed to the success of the NoMa Farmers Market, organized free community events such as outdoor movie nights and concerts, and helped create a vibrant, connected community. Additionally, Danielle led a retail storefront grant program that allocated $80,000 in façade enhancement funding to support eight local, independent businesses.
Her expertise also extends to property taxes and public finance. At the NYC Department of Finance, Danielle gained in-depth experience in property tax management, which she later applied when overseeing property tax assessment calculations at the NoMa BID.
Originally from metro Detroit, Michigan, Danielle relocated to Washington, DC in the spring of 2023 and utilizes her expertise in urban development and community engagement to support impactful projects. She holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Arts, Social Relations and Policy from James Madison College at Michigan State University.
