Economic Analysis of Air Quality Rules​

BAE has worked with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) for several years, providing economic analysis of proposed air quality regulations, with a focus on the impacts on small businesses in Northern California. BAE has conducted analyses for a series of regulations affecting auto painting, dry cleaning, and other businesses with emissions that impact air quality.

For each study, we estimated the number of businesses in the subject sector throughout the region, assessed the cost to implement the regulation, and described the likely economic impacts on business operations.
